FinTech Australia has appointed Katie Wilson, former Meta global Policy Manager, as its new Head of Policy, bringing over a decade of experience in law and policy to the role.
Wilson will facilitate industry relations with government, lead submissions, and shape the organization's position on regulatory issues.
CEO Rehan D'Almedia emphasized the importance of policy in FinTech Australia's work, highlighting key areas such as Consumer Data Right, payments, and cryptocurrency regulation.
Wilson expressed excitement about joining the team and driving policy goals to improve competition, innovation, and financial literacy in Australia.
The appointment precedes FinTech Australia's annual Intersekt conference, scheduled for September 18-19 in Melbourne.
